Who We Are...
Covenant Presbyterian Church is a part of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). We participate as members of the Synod of the Sun, a four state region of Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), in which we are an active part of the Presbytery of New Covenant.
The Theology of Covenant Presbyterian Church...
Covenant Presbyterian Church as a part of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) is a Reformed Protestant Christian Church. And as such, we believe Christ to be Head of the Church and is the church's authority.
The Apostles' Creed is a great understanding of who we are and who we affirm to be.
I BELIEVE in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth,
And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin
Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he ascended into hell; the third day
he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father
Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic Church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins;
the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.
Who Makes Up the Face of Covenant...
Covenant Presbyterian Church belongs to the congregation. The congregation is a family of members and
friends who follow Christ together through worship and ministries. The congregation of Covenant is led by elected elders who serve in the governing body, 'the Session.' The session governs the church through decisions or votes presented as actions from varying committees within the church. These committees are volunteers from the congregation.
